Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Moxie’s Matches collects, how we use it, who we share it with (almost no one), and the choices you have. Moxie’s Matches is the lifestyle dating app operated by THTM LLC. (“Moxie’s Matches,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.


The short version

  • We never sell your data.
  • We never share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
  • We use your information and photos for one purpose: helping you find connections on Moxie’s Matches.
  • You can delete your account and your data at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account: your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider — we never see or store your raw password.
  • Profile: display name, age, date of birth (month and year only — we do not collect the day), gender, pronouns, orientation, bio, photos, relationship style, and interests / kinks.
  • Location: an approximate location for discovery, and — only if you turn it on — a more precise or “here now” location so people where you actually are can find you. Travel destinations if you use Travel Mode.
  • Connections and messages: who you like or pass, your matches, and the messages you send.
  • Optional links: your Telegram handle (only if you connect Telegram) and any lifestyle-site usernames you choose to add.
  • Verification: if you verify your photos, a selfie / liveness capture used to confirm the photos are really you.
  • Support: anything you send us, such as feedback or emails.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and technical: device type and OS, app version, a push-notification token, IP address, and basic diagnostics / crash data.
  • Usage: how you interact with the app, to keep it working and safe.

Information from others:

  • Purchases: if you subscribe to Moxie+, the app store (Google Play or Apple) and our payments processor tell us your subscription status — not your full card details.

How we use your information

We use it to:

  • create and operate your profile and account;
  • show you potential matches and let you message your connections;
  • keep the community safe — moderation, abuse and fraud prevention, and photo verification;
  • send the notifications you’ve turned on;
  • provide support and improve the Service.

We do not use your information or photos to advertise to other people, and we do not use them to train unrelated products.


How information is shared

We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own purposes. The only sharing is what’s necessary to run the Service:

  • With other members. Your profile and the information you choose to show are visible to other users so you can connect — that’s the whole point of the app. Use good judgment about what you put in your profile and messages.
  • With service providers who process data only on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations, and may not use it for their own purposes:
  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, database, sign-in, and push notifications.
  • Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) — photo / liveness verification.
  • RevenueCat and the app stores (Google Play, Apple) — subscription processing.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails, such as account-deletion confirmations.
  • Telegram — only if you choose to link your Telegram account.
  • For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we’re legally required to (such as a valid court order), or where we believe in good faith it’s necessary to protect someone’s safety or to investigate a violation of our Terms.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, photos, private data, likes, matches, and messages.

A limited set of data is retained afterward for safety and legal reasons — abuse / safety reports that other members filed about your account, verification / anti-fraud audit logs, and anything we’re legally required to keep — and only for as long as needed for those purposes. Residual copies in routine encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.


Deleting your account

You can delete your account and data at any time:

  • In the app: Settings → Delete Account.
  • On the web: https://moxiesmatches.com/delete-account

That page explains exactly what is deleted and what is kept.


Your choices and rights

  • Access and update — edit your profile any time in the app.
  • Delete — delete your account any time (above).
  • Notifications — turn each push type on or off in Settings.
  • Location — control location access in your device settings; some features need location to work.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data. Contact us to exercise them.


Security

We protect your information with measures including encryption in transit, access controls, app-integrity checks, and limiting who can access data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.


Age requirement

Moxie’s Matches is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.


International data

We operate in the United States and use US-based service providers. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information is processed in the US.


The website

moxiesmatches.com uses only the minimal cookies needed to operate the site. We don’t use it to track you across other websites.


Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves or to meet legal requirements. When we do, we’ll change the Effective date and Version at the top so changes are easy to track, and we’ll give reasonable notice (for example, an in-app notice) of significant changes. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
