What is Moxie’s Matches?
A location-aware dating app for the swinger, non-monogamy and lifestyle community. Browse nearby members, like and match, chat in-app or over Telegram, and travel with your profile.
Is it free?
Yes — most of the app is free. A Moxie+ subscription adds higher limits and advanced tools.
How do I sign up?
Use your email with a password of at least 8 characters including a letter and a number, or sign in with Google. A guided setup then walks you through your profile step by step.
Can I join as a couple?
Yes. The first step of setup lets you choose single or couple, and you can link to your partner’s profile with a request they accept.
Why can’t I change my age, gender or orientation?
Those identity fields lock once set, so profiles stay trustworthy. Everything else — bio, interests, photos, location — you can edit anytime from Settings.
How many photos can I add? Do I need any?
Up to 6 (your first is your main photo). Photos are optional — you can finish setup without any and add them later.
What is photo verification?
A quick selfie that confirms it’s really you against your photos. Verified members get a green check on their verified photos and by their name. It’s in the mobile app, from onboarding or Settings → Visibility → Verify profile.
How does matching work?
Swipe through nearby members — heart to like, X to pass. If you both like each other it’s a match, you’re both notified, and it appears in your Matches list. People who already liked you are shown first and flagged.
How many likes do I get per day?
Free accounts get 25 likes/day; Moxie+ gets 50. Your remaining likes show in Settings and reset each day.
What filters can I use?
Free: age range, distance, gender, orientation, relationship style and play preferences. Moxie+ adds Verified-only, Recently active, Locals-only, Kinks and Interests.
How do I message someone?
Open a match and chat in real time in the app (long-press a message to copy it). If you both have connected and verified Telegram, you can move the chat to Telegram from the chat header.
What is Travel Mode?
Plan trips with a destination and dates. Trips turn on automatically when their dates arrive and off after they end, so people at your destination can find you. You can also switch a trip on early to browse before you go. Moxie+ lets you save more trips.
What does “I’m here now” do?
It uses your live location so people where you actually are can see you, and your deck shows people there — while your home city stays your home city. Turn it off and you’re back home. It’s a mobile-only feature.
How do I control who sees me?
Hide your profile to stop appearing in Discover entirely. With Moxie+ Incognito, only people you’ve already liked can see you. You can also block or report any profile.
Can I link my other lifestyle-site profiles?
Yes — add your SLS, Kasidie, SDC and FetLife usernames, each with its own visibility (everyone, matches only, or hidden). Others can long-press to copy them.
What do I get with Moxie+?
50 likes/day, all advanced filters, Incognito mode, more saved travel plans, and a Moxie+ badge by your name. Upgrading unlocks everything immediately — including liking again if you’ve hit the daily limit.
Which devices are supported?
A mobile app for Android and iOS, plus a web app. A few features — live location (“I’m here now”) and photo verification — require the mobile app.
How are my privacy and safety protected?
Your Telegram handle is only shown per your settings, and verified status can only be set by our server (never spoofed). You control per-site visibility, and can hide, block or report at any time.
Does Moxie’s Matches give back?
Yes. It’s a passion project, not a profit project — we give 25% of our net proceeds to the American Sexual Health Association (ASHA), a nonprofit working toward reliable, stigma-free sexual health for everyone.
Can someone message me out of the blue?
No. You can only message someone once you’ve both liked each other — no sliding into DMs. Likes are also capped on purpose, so there’s no like inflation and a like actually means real interest.
